Lost Picnic is a perfect day in Spring.

Showcasing the best epicurean, performance and musical talent, Lost Picnic is set to return to Sydney for another very special afternoon on Sunday 15 October.

.

.

The bohemian style event, which debuted to a sell-out audience in 2014, will see one of the world’s finest live bands Fat Freddy’s Drop take the stage, along with The Beatle Boys as they celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Summer of Love, and pay homage to the magic of The Beatles by teaming up with George Ellis and the Australian Symphony Orchestra.

.

.

The ultra-talented line-up is also set to include: Sydney songstress and 2016 ARIA award-winner Montaigne, Sydney singer-songwriter Sarah Blasko, Melbourne four-piece The Teskey Brothers, and Sydney alt-folk band All Our Exes Live in Texas.

But it’s not just about the music. Lost Picnic has teamed up with some of Sydney’s best restaurants to

offer punters a selection of fine-dining dishes and gourmet hampers, along with Australia’s top performance artists.

.

.

Popular pop-up The Tel Aviv Issue is on board with the latest Middle Eastern offerings from Jude Cohen of popular grazing chain Grandma’s, along with street Malay favourite Mamak and Chur Burger of Surry Hills with its notorious “Biggie Smalls’ burger and picnic starters such as bourbon-cured Tasmanian Salmon.

.

.

Australia’s largest organic restaurant Agape will be on show with chef Simon Lawson at the helm dishing up delights such as spit roasted biodynamic suckling pig and soft goats cheese with beetroot pickle and spelt emmental crispbreads, and Italian lovers will be set with fresh, homemade arancini, porchetta rolls. Simon is also offering you a second choice of hampers curated by him! GRANNY IVY’S by Agape is a tribute to his late Chinese grandmother. With a choice of organic meat or vegetarian hamper, Simon is serving up some of his granny’s favourite Asian inspired dishes. Mediterranean antipasto from chef Antonio Sabia of Woolloomooloo’s famed Puntino Trattoria completes the foodie offering. Sweet fiends won’t miss out either with Chippendale’s KOI Dessert Truck parked up on the day.

.

.

White Rabbit will also offer craft beer, alongside boutique wine and cider.

Lost Picnic is the brainchild of Simon Beckingham and Wade Cawood. The duo started in the electronic industry before moving into organising acclaimed dance events across Sydney and are known for their eclectic, multifaceted events such as Glenworth Valley’s NYE festival Lost Paradise which brings together music, yoga, performance, art, and glamping.

.

.

“Events have evolved from being fairly one dimensional to more rounded experiences that appeal to all the senses. We’re about creating unique shared moments between friends and family. The popularity of Lost Picnic is a great example of that shift toward well thought-out, lovingly curated events full of memories to cherish,” Beckingham says.

“Lost picnic is a mix of art, theatre, incredible food and outstanding musical talent – the vibe is unlike any other I’ve experienced at events here or overseas.

.

.

Staged at the gorgeous leafy Domain, the family friendly day will see blankets-a-plenty and roving artists to keep you and your crew occupied between sets. And on top of all the other goodness, limited VIP ticket holders will have access to day beds.

“This year goes beyond Sydney’s best food and music and forays into the world of theatre and art. There’ll be curios to delight even the youngest of Lost Picnic guests, from top acro performers to mysterious monikers like The Gramophone Man, Wind-up Ballerina and Blue Tongue Brass Band. It’ll be an Alice in Wonderland-esque atmosphere with balloon sculptures, giant checkers and magicians floating about.”

.

.

So gather your friends and loved ones, set yourselves up for a day filled with music and entertainment as you stretch out under the blue sky to the backdrop of the magical tree-lined Domain.

The event runs from midday to 8pm.

Tickets are on sale now at www.lostpicnic.net

Gourmet hampers are $50.00 for two and must be pre-booked online.
