Groundwater Country Music Festival
The name change and rebrand reflects the event’s status as Australias fastest growing country music festival, with attendance numbers increasing by 77% this year to 54,000 people, and is indicative of the growing contemporary appeal of country music in Australia.

Fans can expect Groundwater Country Music Festival to stay true to its country roots whilst following the current music landscape which continuously blurs musical genres to attract diverse audiences including the young and young at heart.

Broadbeach Alliance CEO Jan McCormick says, “We have been blown away by the growth of this festival on the Gold Coast; in just five short years it has become one of the biggest music festivals of its genre in Australia and is a must do on the events calendar for music lovers and artists. Our small team is very experienced in producing events and we understand how pivotal artist programming is to keep surprising and delighting our loyal attendees whilst opening the door for first timers. We have been watching this musical genre closely on a global landscape and felt now is the right time to introduce a new brand signifying that we are ready to take the strength of this festival even further.”

Groundwater as a name is reflective of Australia’s unique culture, drawing from both the Aboriginal peoples close spiritual connection with the groundwater, as well as the farming communitys reliance on groundwater for survival. Groundwater reflects the innate culture of the Australian people who use the rivers, lakes, streams, and oceans as a central part of life. Groundwater is the common denominator in bringing people together.
Country music is at its heart about life, passion and realism; the Groundwater Country Music Festival invites visitors to come to the Gold Coast for 3 days of rocking music that will shake the earth and swell the spirit.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
