Listen to the new single ‘How to Socialise & Make Friends’ hereHow to Socialise & Make Friends (LP) is out March 2 and is available to pre-order now.

Recorded live at Holes and Corners in South Melbourne in just three takes and premiered on Good Nights on triple j last night, ‘How to Socialise & Make Friends’ is an upbeat anthem of independence about resilience and being yourself in the face of life’s challenges. Highlighting Georgia’s iconic lyricism, ‘How to Socialise & Make Friends’ tells a perfectly observant yet sarcastically blistering tale of expectations abed crunching guitars, clashing drums and melodic bass hooks.

Camp Cope’s forthcoming sophomore album How to Socialise & Make Friends anchors on the cycles of life, loss and growth, through resilience and those moments of finding and being yourself. It celebrates the joys of being an independent unit and knowing who you are without any influence from external factors, and non-romantic love felt towards friends; the women who shape you and women working together to find strength in numbers.

How to Socialise & Make Friends has been called one of 2018’s most anticipated album releases by Brooklyn Vegan, triple j and Rolling Stone Australia, with first single ‘The Opener’ receiving praise from the likes of KEXP (Song of the Day), Pitchfork (“searing… never sounded more powerful”), SPIN (“a downcast, all-too-real protest of the status quo”) Stereogum (“a powerful indictment of sexism in the music industry and the ways in which toxic masculinity leads to doors being shut.”) and NPR, who premiered its live video filmed in the Utzon Room at Sydney Opera House, saying the track is “scathing… a song that speaks directly to issues not only of representation, but also indie rock’s virtue signalling.”
