CLINT WILSON

releases beautiful folky ballad

‘Nothin’ To Lose’

Emerging folk artist, Clint Wilson, is set to release his first 7 inch single with a gentle melancholic look at life in his song, Nothin’ To Lose. It’s a dreamy acoustic song where violins enchant you into the songs breezy take on having nothing in life and being really happy about it.

Clint Wilson draws influences from Paul Kelly and The Church, and with his own melodic nuance and unique voice he creates beautiful acoustic tunes that would make any Josh Pyke or Pete Murray fan excited. As such, Clint’s new track Nothin’ To Lose has melody and character in spades. Intricate guitar lines harmonise beautifully with the gentle violin while the chorus soars as a choir accompanies Wilson’s warm lead vocals. He sings about appreciating the little things, the quiet times and not having much. “Missing out” seems to be the better option in Wilson’s eyes. A beautiful sentiment in a materialistic world to look beyond the glitz and glamour and look for what makes you happy.

Wilson’s previous single  Don’t Stir Your Coffee If It’s Cold was well received last year with The Melbourne Tone saying it was a “..powerful ballad that pulls at the heartstrings” and Beauty and Lace saying the single “…makes us a little sad while wanting to tap our feet.” About the long silences between two people whose relationship is breaking down, these two tracks illustrate Wilson’s ability to distill the everyday anxieties of life into beautifully lilting, melodic songs. With quality tunes such as these, this rising star will surely be on everyone’s radars soon.

Nothin’ To Lose 7 inch vinyl is backed with bonus track Odd Socks and will be launched Sunday February 11th at Sookie Lounge Belgrave with Miss May also releasing a single.. Their joint launch is being dubbed the “Double Denim Double Launch”.
