join LIZ STRINGER

for a Big Tuesday String-a-long

Liz Stringer

Melbourne’s Liz Stringer will be spending the entire month of June in her home-town before heading back to Canada and the States for the northern summer in early July. As her career takes her ever further-afield, Stringer has found herself reflecting on the schooling she’s received in Australia as a songwriter and performer and particularly the influence of the people she worked with early on, who have helped to teach and shape her as an artist.

She’s asked four of her songwriting elders to sit down with her at the Gasometer, over Tuesdays in June, to have a conversation about their relationship with their art, the evolution of their careers and what continues to drive them. And to play some select tunes from their formidably impressive back-catalogues.

Liz’s guests are four of Australia’s most loved and enduring performers, all conducting varied, influential and continually evolving careers in the music business spanning the last few decades. Dr Lou Bennett, Deborah Conway, Neil Murray and Mick Thomas will be joining Stringer for the Big Tuesday Stringalong.
