There’s less than TWO WEEKS to go until summer starts at FAIRGROUNDS FESTIVAL: Friday 8th and Saturday 9th December in Berry NSW (just a little south of Sydney).

FAIRGROUNDS is proud to boast one of the summer’s most acclaimed line-ups, including last night’s ARIA Award winners Gang Of Youths (Album Of The Year, Best Group, Best Rock Album), 2017 triple j Award winners Client Liaison, triple j unearthed Award winner Stella Donnelly and Double J Artists Of The Year Jen Cloher, plus much more!

You’ve already got your SET TIMES, but FAIRGROUNDS has a whole lot more on offer than that stellar music lineup.

FAIRGROUNDS is excited to announce Artists In Conversation with Double J host and Australian music icon Myf Warhurst. Get up close and personal with James Mercer (The Shins), Australian songstress Holly Throsby and Scott Kannberg (aka. Spiral Stairs, founding member of Pavement) when each artist sits down for talks about music, life and who knows what else!

IN CONVERSATION WITH DOUBLE J’S MYF WARHURST

3:30 – 4:00pm, Scott Kannberg (Spiral Stairs / Pavement)
4:45 – 5:15pm, Holly Throsby
5:30 – 6:00pm, James Mercer (The Shins)

No bookings required. Just show up to the Double J tent prior to the scheduled talk time to secure your spot. BYO cushion. First in best dressed!

David Le’aupepe (Gang Of Youths)

Saturday, 9 November – 4:00 – 4:30pm
Session 1 will feature Gang Of Youths frontman David Le’aupepe sharing his adoration of Wilco’s landmark album, ‘Yankee Hotel Foxtrot’ (2001). Marrying their alt-country roots with vivid experimentation, ‘Yankee Hotel Foxtrot’ is widely hailed as one of the best albums of the 2000s.

Marlon Williams

Saturday, 9 November – 6:30 – 7:00pm
Session 2 will feature Marlon Williams shining a light on cult Canadian songwriter Bob Carpenter. Considered a lost classic by many, get ready to discover the dark, mystic, grieving folk-rock of Carpenter’s ‘Silent Passage’ (1974).

WHISKEY CLUB

Saturday, 9 November – 5:15pm – 5:45pm
Join the legends from Young Henrys for their exclusive tasting session at Whiskey Club. Plus MUCH more…

Plus there’s heaven for crate diggers at the RECORD FAIR and Inertia vinyl shop and those with a competitive streak will love GAMES ON THE GREEN, featuring old school games like Tug of War, egg-and-spoon, wheelbarrow and sack races.

The ankle-biters are in for a treat too. An oasis for the little rockers, LITTLE FAIRGROUNDS is far from your typical playdate. A festival within a festival designed just for kids, there’s some seriously cool activities on offer across the weekend, like High Voltage Rock School – teaching the fine art of head-banging. There’s also performances by crowd faves Battlebird, Dr Graham Walker’s Science ShowOffs to flex the left side of those little brains, The Circus Playground workshops and of course a mother lode of craft activities.
