HEY GERONIMO Hit The Road For ‘Brave New World’ Tour

Hey Geronimo are thrilled to announce their ‘BRAVE NEW WORLD tour, spanning Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney throughout June and July. Having spent the Australian summer working on their forthcoming sophomore album – the follow-up to 2016’s CRASHING INTO THE SUN – Hey Geronimo are all set to unveil an ambitious and radical departure from their live shows of the past.

Straying from their traditional rock-n-roll roots, the show focuses heavily on a quasi-futuristic aesthetic, featuring projected visuals and a performance that reflects a shift in theme of the band’s music.

The announcement of the ‘BRAVE NEW WORLD tour follows the release of Hey Geronimo’s latest single, “Mutant”, a track that details the unfortunate true story of the two times that Hey Geronimo front-man Pete Kilroy has met Courtney Barnett.

About the song, Pete Kilroy says, “I think turning into a ‘mutant’ around somebody you like is a phenomenon every single person over the legal drinking age has experienced. Not all of us have experienced it with Courtney Barnett (and for the record I am still pretty embarrassed) but it does make for a great story”

Hey Geronimo are also set to headline this month at Rare Finds’ 2nd Birthday atOxford Art Factory in Sydney on 29th April 2017. The last Rare Finds Birthday event sold out and Hey Geronimo are set to tear the roof off Sydney’s leading tastemaker event with their electrifying new set.

“Hey Geronimo live on pop’s fast and curious side. Think jangly riffs, sped up lyrics, warped vocal loops and crashing riffs aplenty.”  – SYDNEY MORNING HERALD

“There is a remarkable consistency of style and vision… Every tune has moments of melodic perfection worth of The Beach Boys” – THE AU REVIEW
