Direct from a sell-out performance at the 2017 Adelaide Fringe with rave reviews, Australian rock’n’roll guitar legend Kevin Borich returns for his 70th birthday tour – a landmark event in Kevin’s career. This show also marks the 40th anniversary of his debut solo album Celebration, a bonafide Australian rock classic. Kevin is back to treat his fans to a real Celebration.
Kevin’s last appearance in Adelaide resulted in a sold out, powerhouse performance, and now with special guests rockin’ Rob Riley, Chris Finnen and Rob Pippan, the Celebration tour is set to turn up at The German Club this Friday November the 17th 2017.
Having toured, performed with or supported names like Santana, AC/DC, Taj Mahal, Living Colour, Joe Walsh & Elton John, ‘KB’, as he is known to friends & fans, holds his own to this day and delivers live performance with the same intensity as he did with Carlos Santana in the 70’s. Kevin’s music career includes founding New Zealand’s hit band the La De Da’s, The Kevin Borich Express & Australia’s The Party Boys. A quintessential stalwart in the Australian and New Zealand music scene, Kevin Borich is a renowned guitarist, songwriter and live performer for the ages.
In honour of his 70th birthday and 40 years of the album Celebration, Kevin will be treating Adelaide to a full career retrospective with material dating back to the legendary La De Das, plus his extensive solo album repertoire and many live favourites. With his special guests in tow, and perhaps other surprise guests, the Celebration tour will commemorate a career spanning five decades and the wild ride that goes along with it. This is sure to be an unmissable night of definitive Australian rock’n’roll.
