MASS SKY RAID

release new single

‘CHEMICAL DESIGN’

+ new drummer

Gold Coast’s favourite Rock/Prog sons Mass Sky Raid are today announcing the imminent release of their new single ‘Chemical Design’ and a new addition to the outfit, a new drummer in the form of Morgan Blake. ‘Chemical Design’ will appear in iTunes and Spotify and all good online outlets from this Friday 10th November.

The Gold Coast foursome are back with the new track, which premiered on the radio on Andrew Haug Radio’s Heavy at Home show this week and on the live side of things, Morgan Blake on the skins!

Morgan has joined the group, having graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Popular Music & Diploma of Education. Blake was the drummer for Nine Sons of Dan from 2008-2015 and has worked as a live session musician for a variety of artists including Jarryd James & Matt Corby.

There was a massive mutual respect between MSR and Morgan, having both worked together at Loose Stones.

Alex Kewley, guitarist for Mass Sky Raid is more than excited about the addition of Morgan on Drums.

“Getting Morgan on board was a no brainer. The transition has been so seamless. A new creative energy and drive is taking over the Mass Sky Raid camp – expect great things heading into 2018!”

The new single “Chemical Design” is an anthemic, gorgeous track with soaring vocals – and will be part of their album that will now see it’s release in 2018. Mass Sky Raid has released singles Closer and Sacrifice in 2017 and got into the van and toured the East Coast. 2018 promises to see the release of the album and more touring for Mass Sky Raid.

Mass Sky Raid formed in 2011 and have smashed shows with Dead Letter Circus, Twelve Foot Ninja, Rival Fire and I Am Giant and have been featured on radio on Triple M, 4ZZZ and FBi, in addition to over 40 stations in the US, Asia, South America and Europe, including BBC1 & BBC6 in London.

‘Chemical Design’ is out this Friday 10 November on Spotify/iTunes and at massskyraid.com.
