To Debut In Sydney

Rock ‘n’ Roll slayers CASH are celebrating the release of their new single, Ashes & Bones, with a run of Sydney shows in late August. Presented in conjunction with Sydney based Wanted Management, the dates mark the band’s first appearance in NSW and will include shows at Frankie’s Pizza, Vic on the Park and The Cauliflower Hotel. CASH is Cassie Hope on vocals and guitar and Ash Acid on drums. The Melbourne duo’s sound has been described as a pouting love-child of Chrissy Amphlett and Meg White. Sorry Jack.

Hope, who formerly played with the female rock band Tantalum, and Acid, who spent time with infamous Sydney punk legends X and garage-pop band DollSquad, formed CASH in late 2015 after the pair bonded over their mutual love of Deep Purple and Pat Benatar records. In February of 2016, the girls began what would become a relentless live performance schedule, playing at venues all over Melbourne and regional Victoria. CASH’s debut album is due early next year and was recorded and produced by Hope and Acid along with Lilith Lane at Melbourne’s Newmarket Studios. Lightning Striking, the band’s first single and video, was released in August 2016 and is a riff-thrilling, Ozzy Osbourne referencing sonic stampede. After the Sydney dates, CASH will play a series of hometown release shows in Melbourne followed by a string of dates in Spain.
