Singles Chartifacts: 

#1: Ed Sheeran ‘Shape Of You’ – Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape Of You’ notches up its tenth consecutive week at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart. The last single to spend ten straight weeks in the top spot was LMFAO’s ‘Party Rock Anthem’ in April-June 2011. On this week’s Singles Chart, Sheeran holds 14 spots in the top 50, including three spots in the top ten. ‘Galway Girl’ is the only track to have moved up the chart, climbing from #10 to #7.

#8: Bruno Mars ‘That’s What I Like’ – In its fourth week in the top 50, ‘That’s What I Like’ hits the top ten for the first time. It becomes Mars’ ninth top ten on the ARIA Singles Chart.

#10: Jon Bellion ‘All Time Low’ – After dropping top #17 last week, ‘All Time Low’ jumps back up to one spot below its previous peak.

#15: Jax Jones Feat. Raye ‘You Don’t Know Me’ – After two straight weeks at #23, Jax Jones’ ‘You Don’t Know Me’ jumps into the top 20 for the first time. It’s the track’s seventh week in the chart.

#19: Stargate Feat. P!nk & Sia ‘Waterfall’ (debut) – Norwegian production team Stargate appear on the Singles Chart for the first time under their own name with ‘Waterfall’. The track features vocals by both P!nk and Sia.

Albums Chartifacts:

#1: Ed Sheeran ‘÷’ ÷ holds at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart for a second straight week. This week, Ed Sheeran’s previous two albums, X and +, hold #4 and #8, respectively.

#6: Soundtrack ‘Beauty And The Beast’ (debut) – Ahead of the release of the live action version of Disney’s Beauty And The Beast, the film’s soundtrack makes its ARIA Charts debut. The album features performances from cast members Emma Watson, Josh Gad, Kevin Kline, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci and more. It also includes Ariana Grande and John Legend’s recording of the title track, originally recorded by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson. The original Beauty And The Beast soundtrack peaked at #18 in July 1992.

#9: Adele ‘19’ – With her massive Australian tour wrapping up its second week, Adele’s debut album 19 returns to the top ten for a eighteenth week. Both 25 and 21 also sit in the top ten this week; they’re at #2 and #3, respectively.

#10: Justin Bieber ‘Purpose’ – As Justin Bieber’s Australian tour wraps up, former #1 album Purpose returns the top ten for a twenty-second week.

#16: The Shins ‘Heartworms’ (debut) – Five years on from Port Of Morrow (#4 Mar. ’12), American indie stalwarts The Shins return with Heartworms. The band’s fifth studio album is their third to chart in the top 50 in Australia
