Singles Chartifacts: 

#1: Ed Sheeran ‘Perfect’ – Ed Sheeran’s fourth #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart holds the top spot for a second week. In total, the British singer-songwriter has spent 23 weeks at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart.

#6: Bebe Rexha & Florida Georgia Line ‘Meant To Be’ – After jumping up 18 spots last week, ‘Meant To Be’ climbs up two spots this week to #6.

#21: Pnau ‘Go Bang’ – In its fourth week in the top 50, Pnau’s second top 50 entry for 2017 climbs up ten spots.

#25: G-Eazy Feat. Halsey ‘Him & I’ – Moving 12 spots in its second week in the top 50, ‘Him & I’ now sits two spots below ‘Good Life’ as G-Eazy’s highest-charting track as lead artist in 2017. 

#36: Calum Scott ‘You Are The Reason’ – British singer-songwriter Calum Scott scores his second entry in the top 50 with ‘You Are The Reason’. The track comes just over a year on from Scott peaking at #2 with his cover of Robyn’s ‘Dancing On My Own’ (#2 Oct. ’16).

Albums Chartifacts:

#1: Ed Sheeran ‘÷’ – Returning to #1 for the first time in 14 weeks, Ed Sheeran’s ÷ takes out a 21st week at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart. Debuting at #1 in mid-March, it last sat at the top of the chart in mid-September. Previous albums X and + are back up to #22 and #33, respectively.

#4: John Farnham & Olivia Newton-John ‘Friends For Christmas [Deluxe Edition]’ –  In its fourth week back in the top ten this festive season, the former #1 moves up two spots to re-enter the top five.

#6: Luke Bryan ‘What Makes You Country’ (debut) – American country star Luke Bryan hits the Albums Chart for the first time since 2015 with What Makes You Country. Bryan’s sixth studio album is his fourth release to hit the ARIA top 50, following on from the albums Kill The Lights (#4 Aug. ’15) and Crash My Party (#19 Aug. ’13), as well as the EPSpring Break…Checkin’ Out (#16 Mar. ’15).

#13: Elton John ‘Diamonds’ – Elton John’s career-spanning collection Diamonds jumps up a further six spots to a new peak of #13 in its third week in the top 50.

#35: Paul McCartney ‘Pure McCartney’ – With his first Australian tour since 1993 complete, leaving awestruck fans in his wake, Paul McCartney returns to the top 50 with the solo and Wings retrospective Pure McCartney.
