Singles Chartifacts: 

#1: Ed Sheeran ‘Perfect’ – It’s week three at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart for Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect’. In addition to the original version on Sheeran’s ÷ album and the version featuring Beyoncé, released at the start of December, a new version featuring Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli was released this week.

#2: Eminem Feat. Ed Sheeran ‘River’ (debut) – With ninth studio album Revival giving him an eighth #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, Eminem picks up a sixteenth top five entry on the Singles Chart with ‘River’. Featuring Ed Sheeran, it’s the second track to chart from the album, following the Beyoncé-featured ‘Walk On Water’ (#10 Nov. ’17). Eminem’s first top five appearance was with ‘Stan’ (#1 Mar. ’01).

#11: Mariah Carey ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ – Moving up five spots this week, ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ hits its highest peak on the ARIA Singles Chart in 23 years. The track has re-entered the chart during every festive season since 2012 and had previously gone as high as #14. During its original chart run, it peaked at #2 for two weeks in December 1994.

#16: G-Eazy Feat. Halsey ‘Him & I’ – In the week G-Eazy’s fourth album The Beautiful & Damned debuts at #38, the single ‘Him & I’ hits a new peak at #16. It takes over from ‘Me, Myself & I’ (#19 Feb. ’16) as G-Eazy’s highest career peak as a lead artist.

#17: Pnau ‘Go Bang’ – Pnau’s ‘Go Bang’ climbs a further four places to snare a new peak in its fifth week in the top 50.

#1: Eminem ‘Revival’ (debut) – Eminem takes out his eighth #1 album on the ARIA Charts with Revival. The American hip-hop star’s ninth studio release comes four years on from The Marshall Mathers LP2 (#1 Nov. ‘13) and includes the tracks ‘Walk On Water’ (#10 Nov. ’17) and ‘River’ (#2 Dec. ’17). Eminem has also topped the ARIA Albums Chart with The Marshall Mathers LP (#1 Mar. ’01), The Eminem Show(#1 Jun. ’02), Encore (#1 Nov. ’04), Curtain Call: The Hits(#1 Dec. ’05), Relapse (#1 May ’09) and Recovery (#1 Jun. ’10).

#7: Elvis Presley ‘Christmas With Elvis And The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’ – In its eighth week in the top 50, Christmas With Elvis And The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra moves up four spots to claim a new peak at #7. Its previous peak was #10.

#15: Human Nature ‘The Christmas Album’ – Week three in the chart for the 2017 festive season for Human Nature’s The Christmas Album and it’s jumped up ten spots from #25 to #15.

#20: Linkin Park ‘One More Light Live’ (debut) – Linkin Park release their first album since the death of frontman Chester Bennington, One More Light Live. The album captures the group on their final tour with Bennington, in support of seventh studio album One More Light (#3 May ’17). Linkin Park has previously charted with the live albums Live In Texas (#18 Dec. ’03) and Road To Revolution: Live At Milton Keynes (#24 Dec. ’08).

#26: Foo Fighters ‘Concrete And Gold’ – With their national tour set to kick off next month, Foo Fighters’ former #1 is back up ten spots in its 13th week in the top 50.
