How would you describe your journey in the music industry so far, and where do you want to go from here with your music?
There has been a lot of hard work and also many rewarding and fulfilling moments. The most important thing for us is to keep playing, writing and sharing our music with as many people as possible…(aaaaannd get rich at some point so we can afford to do it full-time!).

When did you know you wanted to make music, and perform as your career?
Jess (singer): I always knew I wanted to perform. I saw myself doing acting just as much as singing. But it was when I met the boys in 2009 and started gigging around Sydney, that I knew I wanted to sing forever.
James (guitar): When I joined my first band I was 14 and couldn’t really play guitar, but I loved it and have been in bands ever since.

Who have been your musical influences or artists you have admired growing up?
Jess: No Doubt, The Cranberries, Silverchair James: The Beatles, Led Zeppelin.

Are there any artists or musicians that you have been so impacted by that it changed your view on life or mentality toward music?
Some really inspiring bands/artists for us in recent years have been Kimbra, The Preatures, Lianne Le Havas and Methyl Ethyl.

How would you describe your sound, and why is it unique from other artist’s sound?
We enjoy writing pop songs, exploring grooves and looking for weird but hopefully appropriate sounds! Any uniqueness might be due to having a collaborative process where we bring different skills and ideas to the table.

What can fans expect as far as upcoming tours, or music after SUNSET SERIES in Feb?
We’ve currently been taking a break from live shows to work on our upcoming ep ‘Clickbait’. We’re currently planning to do some touring for the latter half of the year along with some Sydney shows, so we’ll keep y’all updated on our socials.

What are your goals for 2018 with your music career?
This year we’re releasing an EP which we are currently working on. Once we’ve released that we look forward to more festivals and touring and fingers crossed, – start work on our second album before the end of the year.

If you weren’t working in the music industry, what else do you think you would be doing with your life right now?
Celebrating my win at the Australian Open.

What’s one song fans might be surprised you really like?
‘Slice of Heaven’. It’s a polarising song but really, I just think some people pretend not to like it.
.
Do you have one performance that stands out so far as being your favourite, or most memorable?
Playing at Homeground Festival at the Sydney Opera House as the sun went down was a really great experience.
OR
We played a really fun gig upstairs at World Bar last year with Rackett. That was cozy but very fun!
.
Lastly, just for fun – If you had to eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
Homemade nachos. We’ve perfected the dish and think we could show some pubs how it’s done.
