Guy Sebastian

.

3rd November, Guy Sebastian braced the stage of The Enmore Theatre with his current tour which was of celebration of his new release album titled ‘Conscious’. As the album titled ‘Conscious’ was released on 3rd November the actual day of his Sydney show the audience were slightly unsure of what to expect for the duration of the show. However nothing but excitement, love and support was present within The Enmore Theatre. As die hard Guy Sebastian fans (my mum included), families with young children, groups of friends and even some of Australia’ own celebrities like Samantha Jade, Larry Emdur and Jules Sebastian were amongst the audience showing their love and support.

.

.

At around 9:15 pm the show kicked off as the lights dimmed and Guy Sebastian exploded onto the stage, as the audience knew he was ready to take on the night with his hard hitting yet jaw dropping vocals, the way Guy engaged and interacted with the audience, his choreography, dance moves and simply the way he performed and sang each and every song so passionately.

Setlist wise – Guy introduced his new release album titled ‘Conscious’, as the new album was only released that day. Guy began to sing the tracks off the new album titled Conscious. The tracks off ‘Conscious’ included:

• High On Me •
• Bloodstone•
•Set In Stone•
•Vesuvius•
•Sober•
• Drink Driving•
• Chasing Lights•
•Keep Me Coming Back•
•Something•
• Stay In Bed•
•Exclusive•
•Reprise•

However after Guy had sang the tracks off his new release album titled ‘Conscious’ – it slowly became a trip down memory lane a massive throw back as the songs included:

• Get Along•
•  Black and Blue•
• Like It Like That•
•We Got Gold•
• Who’s That Girl•
•Don’t Worry Be Happy•

Guy Sebastian.

However reflecting back on the Guy Sebastian experience there were a fair few highlights throughout the night that made the experience simply amazing and memorable. Some of these highlights included the stripped back session of particular tracks where Guy performed his songs either on guitar or on the piano. And in which he sang the songs Battle Scars, Get Along and Set In Stone in which he had dedicated the performance to his wife Jules who was sitting amongst the audience. With his on point vocals, the way he sang Battle Scars, Get Along and Set In Stone so passionately along with his impressive playing of the piano it brought tears to my eyes.

Another highlight was Guy’ unexpected rendition of LDRUKeeping Score, which he had covered with Famous Australian DJ PACES on Triple J’ Like A Version. As Guy performed LDRU‘ Keeping Score, PACES was not present to fulfil the DJ component of the track leaving me slightly confused as to how this rendition would work. But yet again my expectations going completely out the window Guy started playing on a DJ drum looping station just like PACES.

However overall looking back, this particular tour by Guy Sebastian was simply incredible! As Guy’s performance, stage presence, stage production, choreography, and vocals were simply on point. Not only that but he was also able to create such a safe, trusting , loving , supporting but fun atmosphere within The Enmore Theatre. The walls of The Enmore Theatre were radiating nothing but love and support.
