Who or what inspired you to pursue a career in music?

I’ve always wanted to pursue a career in music from the time I started singing at 9. Along the way, I’ve had the most amazing teachers and mentors who have inspired me to work towards my dream. My parents have encouraged my siblings and I to find our passions and put all of our efforts and energy into them. They are the reason why I do what I do.

How would you best describe your sound?

I would describe my sound as indie pop. I love being soulful and playing piano, while also incorporating new production and sounds into my songs.

Who are your main musical influences?

My main musical influences are Sara Bareilles, Rachel Yamagata, Regina Spektor, Sia, and Adele because of their true artistry and song writing skills.

What is the inspiration behind Lost At Sea?

I wanted to write a song about feeling lost, because I know that everyone feels that in their lives in some way. I know my family felt very lost when my grandmother passed away. That is why I dedicated this song to her and the single cover is one of her paintings.

What inspires your song writing more generally?

Since I am still only 16, I don’t have countless experiences to pull from when writing my songs. I write about things that I’ve gone through and often take inspiration from friends, family, and even TV and movies. Other times, lyrics just come to me unexplainably.

What makes you different to similar sounding artists?

I love experimenting with my voice and song writing style. My goal is to make any song I write or cover my own.

What would you be doing if you weren’t involved in music?

If I weren’t involved in music, I’d love to be a real estate agent. It’s so random, but I love looking at houses in my free time and I think that would be a fun job!

What has been your most memorable career highlight to date?

My most memorable career highlight to date has been opening for Sabrina Carpenter in Dallas! It was such an amazing experience.

What is something you would like to achieve career-wise that you haven’t done yet?

I’d love to headline my own tour. That has always been a major career goal for me and I know if I focus and work as hard as I can, I can do it.

If you could play any venue in the world, where would it be and why?

I would love to play the American Airlines Center in Dallas. It’s not the biggest venue in the world, but it’s the most meaningful to me. I’ve seen many artists I look up to play there. It’s such a cool venue and from the first concert I went to there, I knew I wanted to play there one day.
