Luke Fox – Fly in the Champagne (Single Review)

Triple J Unearthed Groovin the Moo Bunbury winner Luke Fox has announced the release of his beachy new single Fly in the Champagne. The track has surfaced just in time to hit the festival stage.

I personally fell in love with this song from the first riff. A soundscape of sentimental guitars leads a catchy intro to a sweet honest verse where distinct vocals capture a warm honesty that slowly builds to a richly textured hook.

There is something so catchy about this song, it has a gentle and steady rhythm with a bright sound and an originality, yet it encompasses a feel-good familiarity that guides you through what is a truly wonderful melodious journey.

I was really captured by the artists individual style. There is a raw coastal vibe that saturates the melody and the lyrics.

This is just the beginning for the Perth musician Luke Fox. Fly in the Champagne is a song to truly get lost in. It is hard not to love this guys earthy, artistic and charming sound.

The song is reflective of the moments that make friendships eternal. It has a unique feeling of strength and vulnerability.

Overall this song is a chilled-out, good vibes track that I will be adding to my playlist to listen to over and over again.

I am looking forward to what else this ‘creative and intrepid spirit’ from small town South West Australia has to offer. With a sound rivalling the likes of Passenger and Vance Joy, this professional firefighter sure has a passion for music that is present in his performance.

You can catch Luke Fox playing the Bunbury leg of the Groovin The Moo festival. Rocking a huge line up consisting of Aussie artists Amy Shark, Tash Sultana, Montaigne and of course Luke Fox. Fox will also be playing various shows across Perth and the south west.
