Ahead of the release of new album ‘Chiaroscuro’ on March 9, psychedelic indie-rock group Ocean Alley have put forward new single ‘Confidence’.

While sticking to the band’s roots, ‘Confidence’ oozes an addictive groove, driven by a dragging wah-wah pedal, accompanied by a video packed with the nerves of first-time rollerskating, and the dreaded falls. The new track is no doubt one to be a shoe in for the 2018 Hottest 100, following the success of ‘The Comedown’, hitting #48 on the 2017 Hottest 100 list.

With catchy lyrics and a recognisable chorus, ‘Confidence’ is likely to become a crowd favourite, giving a sense into the musical progression made on the sophomore album that is so highly anticipated.

Frontman Baden Donegal’s vocals are stronger than ever, highlighted by the funky backdrop created by the rest of the band, particularly lead guitarist Goodwin’s electric guitar riffs.

With the drop of the new single, the six piece have announced their 2018 headline tour, in between festival appearances at Groovin’ the Moo taking place in April and May.
