Yet again, Tash Sultana blows us up with her individuality in her new single ‘Mystik’.

The 22 year old spent the past few months touring America and, being on Late Night with Seth Myers, talked of her relentless year after singles ‘Notion’ and ‘Jungle’ spread through radio stations all around the world.

Sultana told Triple J that ‘Mystik’ is about “the death of her ego” as being as busy as she is all the time, she gets “caught up in this whole mist… you probably should just be instead of do.”

When I hear the song, I imagine she is talking to herself amongst a metaphorical mirror. Quite a introspective way of expression, and her saxophone’s touch on the end of the tune adds its own unique aspect to her musical growth.

With the impending homecoming arena tour, Tash Sultana has been on her feet for two years now. Word is, she’s dropping off the grid for a while to gather new experiences across the world to inspire more of her singularity.
