David Ansari and Parissa Tosif make up the two halves of electronic duo, Vallis Alps. These two are making a name for themselves as one of Australia’s best up-and coming electronic exports. Vallis Alps have played an abundance of impressive shows, both in Australia and Internationally, including Falls Festival, Splendour in the Grass, Listen Out, Lightning In A Bottle, and Reading and Leeds. All on top of headlining  shows across Europe, the US and Australia. The Sydney based artists have been keeping incredibly busy this past year. They released their anticipated EP “Fable” in March, as well as singles “Ocean” and now “So Settled”.

After the huge success of preceding single “Oceans”, Vallis Alps have released this fantastic new track. Opening with playful synths paired with sultry steel drum beats, the duo have come through with their most danceable track to date. This dream-pop track flaunts bright synth melodies that provides an air of wonder. An upbeat, dancey track with beautifully constructed lyrics, does it get much better than this? Singer Parissa Tosif truly shines on this newest release, showing off her sweet sounding vocals and delivering flawless uplifting harmonies. So Settled is the kind of feel-good single that you want to drive into a sunset listening to.So Settled” is something a little different to the usual sound we have come to expect from these two, but in a good way. It is clear the duo have been challenging themselves with these new singles. The result is a noticeably more cheerful and upbeat track, which leaves me excited to see what the pairing have in store for us in 2018.
