Prior to the release of his 2018 album ‘Nation of Two’, Vance Joy has graced us all with new single ‘We’re Going Home’.
A track that builds with the gentle strumming of an acoustic guitar, Vance Joy has come out with a song that has the perfect combination of deep reflection and a catchy chorus, which will no doubt be sung along to at festivals and concerts in the coming year.

Lyrically, the song is honest and raw, accompanied by the video which showcases an engram, lifted by interpretive dancers. Following the release of ‘Lay It On Me’ and ‘Like Gold’, the new single raises expectations for the highly anticipated album, due out on February 23rd.

After the release of his debut album in 2014, Vance had a large following to please, and in short, this new album will probably exceed all expectations. With acoustically based tracks that hold an underlying sense of awareness and follows the story of a couple where

“their love for each other gives them their bearings”,

we are faced with an album and single that is set to become one to remember.

The song details on relatable times, riddled with themes of love, family, and finding sense within this. Though differing from previous smash hit ‘Riptide’, ‘We’re Going Home’ is sure to be a standout off the upcoming album, and leaves a string of excitement for what is to come for Vance Joy.
