WhatSoNot Singles Review – ‘Better’ and ‘Redrum’

.

.

Its been a while since Chris Emerson (What So Not) has released any music, but 2017 saw him pull the blinds down at Coachella, offering the masses an insight to where his creative talent has been lying.

The news of his impending debut album has been stirring fans since mid 2016. Now, with the release of singles ‘Better’ and ‘Redrum’ we can anticipate the album is to be released soon, as he lines up performances at festivals such as Listen Out and Spilt Milk as a platform to portray his eclectic EDM.

‘Better’, featuring LPX, was a part of his live set at Coachella earlier this year and has anthem written into the beats. LPX’s vocals are accented by WSN’s siren-sounds, accompanying the exigencies of those who are giving it their all on the dance floor.

.

.

Turning the turntables to a gentler speed, WSN remixes ‘RedRum’ by Era Istrefi (feat. Felix Snow) to remind us that he is gracious in his revisions. The song itself is palpable and is a great song to invite people who are sitting to stand, starting with an acoustic launch into a atmospheric ethereal chorus drop.

.

.

Also in the works, the highly anticipated ‘Stranger Things’ remix is rumoured to be on its way for the Season 2 premiere, dropping on the 31st of October.

Just in time for beach season, What So Not is liberating his listeners as one of the most talented producers of our time. Lets let his unique music perspectives guide our summer of sun.
