The title track plays like a homage to Paul Kelly, unmistakably as Australian as a Sidney Nolan painting. There is space, considered economy and details that show the singer searching for answers to questions that cannot be found this side of the sun ★★★★ – THE AUSTRALIAN

.

Melbourne alt-country stylists return with mesmerising third LP – In four years the twin song writing force of Luke Sinclair and Nick O’Mara has matured to a lustrous finish. ★★★★  – ROLLING STONE

.

…sounds like a lost classic from Ryan Adams’ songbook. They may be somewhere now, but they’re definitely going places. ★★★★  – THE MUSIC

.

Sounds almost revolutionary in 2017… file next to Ryan Adams, Jason Isbell and The Dingoes. Yep, it’s that good. ‘I Must Be Somewhere’: Raised By Eagles have arrived. – STACK MAGAZINE

With their new album I MUST BE SOMEWHERE receiving unanimous widespread acclaim, and the completion of a run of shows supporting Mick Thomas & The Roving Commission, the time has finally come for RAISED BY EAGLES to announce their own long-awaited run of headline dates, presented by Creative Victoria, Rhythms Magazine, The Music – and in Melbourne – PBS FM. Tickets to all shows on sale now – details below or HERE.

Taking in Sydney, Maitland, Geelong, Torquay, Melbourne, Brisbane, Mullumbimby and Adelaide, the band are delighted to be able to deliver their full live show for friends both old, and hopefully new.

To celebrate the tour announcement – the band prepared a little video for the 2nd  single from the album ‘Heartbreaker’.  The song is about insecurity and wasting time.  Somebody trying so hard to protect himself from heartache that he eventually creates it.

And I missed all the signs

Sleeping in the back seat like a fool

You can’t fix a broken wheel, honey

If you ain’t got the right tools

MORE PRAISE FOR I MUST BE SOMEWHERE

.

3 albums deep, songwriter vocalists Nick O’Mara and Luke Sinclair have arrived at something close to perfect.  Previous outing Diamonds In The Bloodstream (2105) was a glorious show of alt. country style and poise.  But with Somewhere, Raised By Eagles have upped the ante with so many richly textured arrangements – COUNTRY UPDATE

.

As players they share the lightness of touch and aesthetic with the likeness of Steve Gunn, Mark Knopfler and William Tyler…There is also a melancholic mood that pervades the album, riding on a nostalgic, heartache vibe but more often than not wrapped up in optimism – RHYTHMS MAGAZINE

.

The best songs have the ability to transform your expectations within their running time. There’s the serendipitous Every Night and the despairing Gold Rush Blues, and they transcend any genre. – FAIRFAX
