Having just wrapped the Europe leg of her globe-spanning Wanderess tour, Iranian-Dutch visionary Sevdaliza has gifted fans new album track Hear My Pain Heal complete with haunting companion video. The release comes ahead of her upcoming debut Australian tour in January 2018.

Dubbed “an obsidian trip-hop elegy” by The FaderHear My Pain Heal’s companion video was directed by Ian Pons Jewell (Vince Staples, DJ Shadow, Cloud Control). A stunning yet deeply unsettling cinematic project, the video features a captivating performance by Sevdaliza. It’s the 17th song on her debut ISON album, which was re-released to house the new addition.

“It’s difficult to explain ‘Hear My Pain Heal’ in terms of its narrative, as it came about as a hallucinatory or dreamlike experience. Sevdaliza mourning at these large bare feet, crying for her lost ones, his head covered by the shadows from the tablecloth. A strange synchronous relationship between the director Ian Pons Jewell and Sevdaliza resulted in ‘Hear My Pain Heal.'”  – Sevdaliza & Ian Pons Jewell

Perfecting the ability to curate and collaborate on visuals every bit as arresting as her atmospheric, moody RnB, Sevdaliza’s enthralling videos for Human & That Other Girl have together clocked over 12 million views. Her body of work has earned her fans at The FaderPaper MagazineFACT MagazineBBC and Dazed Digital (Dazed 100), and also in peers like A$AP Ferg, who features on her menacing single That Damaged Girl; she’s toured it around the world including sold-out headline shows in Europe & the USA.

With her US live debut heralded as a singularly phenomenal experience (“we weren’t ready for what was about to happen. No one came prepared to pick their jaws up off the floor” – Enclave LA), Sevdaliza’s is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Australian debuts of 2018.
