Southeast Queensland indie folk band The Achilles have just released their stunning new single ‘Matches’.
The band have also announced an upcoming performance at the Carnival of Flowers Food & Wine Festival in Toowoomba.
The four kin have crafted a dynamic and addictive indie/ folk/ alt-rock sound through all manner of instruments. They love to incorporate ambient space, power and beat with their diverse arrangement and energy.
The Achilles debuted in 2015 with the release of single ‘The Seven Seas’, which charted quickly via Triple J Unearthed.
The band then followed-up in 2016 with the release of their debut EP ‘Megan & The Achilles’. The release received positive reviews from Tone Deaf, AAA Backstage, CONFRONT Magazine and many more outlets.
The band has performed as a headline artist at Toowoomba’s Easterfest in 2015 and paired up with the Easterfest Roadshow, which toured Southeast Queensland in late 2014. They also played at The Big Pineapple Music Festival in 2016.
