start “Brain Drain” National Tour
this week

IndiePunk Rock mainstay The Hard Aches are releasing a new single ‘BRAIN DRAIN’, which will form side A of a split 7” that will be released with UK friends, and all round good people Muncie Girls. Muncie Girls will make their Australian debut as support of The Hard Aches June tour.
‘BRAIN DRAIN’ picks up from where 2016 EP ‘I Freak Out’ left off. Lyricisms delving into mental health, identity, as well as singer Ben David questioning his own ambitions, this is a song that is borne from insecurities, through an musical outlet that exists to give him some catharism. “I’ve never felt so alone, in a room of so many awkward people I know” David laments, as he seeks to find his place in a world that he struggles to connect with.
Recorded at Holes & Corners Studios in Melbourne with the help of producer Sam Johnson (The Smith Street Band, Camp Cope, Bennies) the experience was a tester as they prepare a new album.
Joining The Hard Aches for all dates are Exeter, UKs MUNCIE GIRLS, and Melbourne’s brightest THE FOOTBALL CLUB.
Muncie Girls released one of the finest indie punk albums of 2016, and were invited to play Great Escape Festival, SXSW, and tour with bands as diverse as Los Campesinos, Taking Back Sunday, & Beach Slang. Their single RESPECT is the bside to the split 7” available for sale now, and is a real anthem of gender equality, erasing passive tolerance for misogyny
The Football Club are quickly being regarded as one of the most promising bands in the country. With their single IVY resonating so heavily with an array of new fans, Triple J Unearthed have earmarked them as one to watch in 2017.
‘BRAIN DRAIN’ is released by Anchorhead. The Adelaide punk label conceived 6 years ago by drummer Alex Upton which has seen releases by Foley!, The Flying So HighOs, Bec Stevens & more.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
