The Jungle Giants New Album Out Today

“A whole lot of fun” – HERALD SUN

“The Jungle Giants deliver career high third album.” – ROLLING STONE

“Holds hits that will see you through to the warm summer months. ” – THE MUSIC

With their triple j feature album Quiet Ferocity out today, The Jungle Giants are pleased to announce they’ve added second and final show dates to their national album tour in Brisbane and Melbourne. Selling out their hometown Triffid show and with less than a 100 tickets remaining to the first Melbourne date, those who missed out have a second chance to see the new material live this year, with an additional Triffid show on Sunday, August 20th and over 18s Croxton show on Sunday, August 27th – tickets on-sale now. Just announced to headline Spring Break To The Whitsundays, tickets to remaining Quiet Ferocity tour shows are selling fast.

Fans have the opportunity to start the party early with east coast signings and release parties featuring DJ sets from the band beginning this afternoon in Brisbane at Rocking Horse Records/The Foundry before heading to Hum Records/Yours, Beach Rd Hotel in Sydney on Saturday and final stop Polyester Records/Yah Yah’s, Fitzroy in Melbourne on Sunday. Beginning August 18th, the Quiet Ferocity tour will see the band hit capital cities around the country as well as Byron Bay and the Central Coast. Playing both all ages and over 18’s shows, the indie outfit will also travel to Auckland, marking their first ever New Zealand appearance. On support duties are sibling duo LASTLINGS, alongside South Australia up-and-comers Heaps Good Friends.

Racking up over 35 million Spotify streams, The Jungle Giants are the poster people for creative risks in the studio. Recorded at Empire Studios in Brisbane, ‘Quiet Ferocity’ was a result of frontman Sam Hales‘ “5 days a week, 9-5” approach to the creation of album number three. Recorded and produced entirely themselves, the 10-track album features new singleOn Your Way Down’ and ‘Feel The Way I Do,’ which combined have accumulated over 3 million streams and numerous appearances on triple j’s most played tracks list.

Recently whipping crowds into a frenzy on Australia’s favourite regional touring festival Groovin The Moo, The Jungle Giants have played shows in LA, New York, Toronto, Austin, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta. With sold-out headline dates and appearances at all major Australian festivals, audiences can expect performances filled with charging dance hooks and contagious scream-your-lungs-out choruses. Their new album marks a key stylistic and musical evolution for the band, creating a genre-bending universe that’s entirely their own. Quiet Ferocity is infectious. So get ready – it’s coming for you too.
