Yesterday was a BIG day. Australia voted YES. And THE SMITH STREET BAND supported Midnight Oil at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl.

To highlight the serendipity of those two things and to show the Smithies’ support, SMITH STREET BAND drummer, Chris Cowburn, created what he has dubbed the “Rainbow Beat” – a one-of-a-kind custom drum kit which he played at last night’s gig.

Now, in continued support of equality and the abolishment of discrimination, he has decided to auction the drum kit and give the proceeds to charity! 100% OF PROCEEDS will go to the wonderful Minus18, who provide a network of support to Australian LGBTQI+ youth.
