The Warehouse Collective

THE PRESETS, BAG RAIDERS, KILTER, NYXEN & LUCY CLICHE

Saturday December 16th
Exhibition Hall @ The Australian Technology Park, Sydney

Launched by Division Agency, The Warehouse Collective is an enticing new series of large-scale music events, which debuts in the heritage-listed Exhibition Hall at The Australian Technology Park in Redfern on Saturday December 16th.

Featuring an impressive line-up of iconic and cutting-edge electronic acts, top billing electro kings The Presets will be performing a full-length headline gig, which will also feature a new stage lighting show.  This headline show comes hot on the heels of the release of their brand new single ‘Do What You Want’, which also heralds the impending arrival of their much anticipated fourth studio album.  Written and produced by the band, ‘Do What You Want’ is an energetic four-to-the-floor powerhouse that’s got a similar driving rhythm to classic burners from The Presets like ‘My People’ and ‘Talk Like That’.  Fans can expect to hear plenty of new material alongside all the crowd favourites at this very special show. The band are ‘Psyched to be playing this show and checking out all the other killer acts on the line-up. We’ll definitely be getting down early to see Lucy Cliche – she’s the bomb!’

After a highly successful 30 date North American tour followed by their long-awaited National Australian Tour, Bag Raiders will round out 2017 by bringing their full live band experience to their performance as part of The Warehouse Collective.  From newer material to their classic hit singles ‘Shooting Stars’, ‘Sunlight’ and ‘Way Back Home’ expect a banging show from dancefloor maestros. “Super excited for this, a home town show (!!) with one of the best Australian bands of all time, our friends, The Presets. By all accounts the new venue is going to be amazing and we’re pumped to bring our full live show with custom visuals and a drummer into this new and exciting space.”

Having quickly developed a reputation as a gun producer in the studio, Kilter’s thrown us a juicy plot twist and keenly stepped up his game as an accomplished live performer too. Flanked by electronic drums and synth-gear galore, Kilter’s live set delivers with limbs flying fast between keys, sample pads and drumstick duties. “Using drums, keyboards and samplers I can perform and express myself in a way that’s unique to that particular show and crowd” he says. The lively setup has been winning Kilter a slew of new followers at key Australian festivals like Splendour In The Grass and Falls Festival, not to mention magnetising crowds as the main support act for RÜFÜS and Hermitude. Adored by listeners from all corners of the internet Kilter has had two tracks passing 1 million streams on Spotify in the last week and ‘Fool For You’ has reached 5.5 million.  On playing The Warehouse Collective he says ‘I always get really excited to perform in interesting and unique spaces. The Warehouse set up for this show is sounding insane and I look forward to seeing what else it brings to Sydney’s nightlife over the summer. On top of that, the rare chance to see one of my all-time favourite Aussie groups, The Presets, means this night will be a cracker!’

Leading the new wave of Aussie house music producers, Nyxen is an up-and-comer whose music is effortlessly addictive and just as ready for the beach as it is for the club.  Her live set and DJ set are usually total contrasts to each other, and for The Warehouse Collective event, Nyxen will be bringing a few of her live elements to the evenings performance.  ‘I tend to get a little darker when Djing, and I definitely think it’s fitting for the venue and overall vibe of the line-up to try and melt some brains with some trippy house/tech tunes.  When I found out about this show I got so excited. The last few years we’ve had more venues closing than opening so it’s super exciting seeing a venue as epic as this opening it’s doors for a high energy party with insane production and Sydney legends The Presets and Bag Raiders.

Gaining a reputation for her live performances, Lucy Cliché’s experimental sound is layered in techno’s thumping drums, deep industrial synths, all coloured in with magical bleeps.  Lucy says ‘Playing this show is going to be massive, the venue looks absolutely epic…think of the sound system that will be needed to fill that space. I like it loud and in my body, and doing wonky, live hardware techno, meaning no computers, no CDJs, just straight-up machine production. It’s crunchy, its raw, it’s a bit weird!’. So for this epic live show from Lucy Cliché expect locked in rhythms, chunky bass and acid bleeps, all mixed with her own sampled vocals and recording experiments.  Watch Lucy Cliche Here
