TIM WHEATLEY releases NEW music video for ‘HER WICKED WAYS’
Alternative folk/rock troubadour Tim Wheatley, has released the first single ‘Her Wicked Ways’ from his upcoming sophomore album, PILLAR TO POST, set for release August 25th through Sony Music Entertainment Australia.
‘Her Wicked Ways’ places the listener in the shoes of a man who has happily resigned himself to an authoritative woman. Smitten by her ability to get exactly what she wants, ‘Her Wicked Ways’ is played out with a swinging horn section over an in-depth narrative whilst retaining Wheatley’s alt/country feel and ‘smokey’ vocals.
Co-written and produced by Justin Stanley (Beck, Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow) in Los Angeles, the new single is a taste of Wheatley’s forthcoming album PILLAR TO POST, the follow up to his 2015 debut, CAST OF YESTERDAY.
As Wheatley explains, “Justin and I met as regulars at a local coffee shop and knew each-other for a couple of years before he sent me a few song ideas. The whole process was very organic, and the fact we share such similar tastes in music meant we were often about to try the same things. He sent me a ‘raspy’ voice-memo of the melody, and I penned the lyrics to ‘Her Wicked Ways’ after taking in a Helmut Newton exhibition.”
