Hot on the heels of the announcement of Tora’s debut album Take A Rest, set for release on 9 June, comes the reveal of the visual accompaniment to the album’s recently released second single ‘Another Case’. Also announced today is Sydney indie Producer Mookhi as the main tour support alongside various local supports, who will be joining the Byron Bay four-piece on their national Take A Rest album tour.

The video for ‘Another Case’ was shot by Melbourne’s Coco and Maximilian and perfectly combines the lush, layered sounds of the track with the fluidity of a contemporary dancer’s movements. The second single from the album, ‘Another Case’, is a track which traverses from pocket grooves and bass-driven beats to soaring vocals and follows on from the intricate first single ‘Amsterdam’.

“Whether it’s at a show, or via our social media – we’ve had a lot of people interact with our music in the form of dance. We decided to highlight this in our latest clip for Another Case. We collaborated with Melbourne-based creative team Coco & Max to portray a cool rendition of this and hope you enjoy!” say the band.

Sydney indie producer Moohki will be joining Tora on the road as their main album tour support for all cities except Perth and Fremantle where DJ/Producer Tenru will have the spot. Local acts will showcase their talents, with the chill electronic sounds of duo Chymes hitting the stage in Sydney, hip-hop/electronic soulstress May Lyn in Brisbane, Azura will bring her ethereal sound in Melbourne, singer-songwriter Allume in Adelaide, and electronic act Solo Dan wraps up the tour for the WA dates.

With over over 30 million streams to their credit and having played the likes of Glastonbury and Splendour in the Grass, a national support slot with RUFUS, and a run of their own sold shows, the upcoming Take A Rest album release was inspired while touring Australia, Europe and North America. Tora wrote the album over a two year period in various locations around the globe before composing, recording, producing and mixing the album in their home studios in Byron Bay. Tora took a novel approach to recording Take A Rest by incorporating organic sounds heard in guitarist Jai Piccone’s garden, including the buzzing of flies, bamboo creaking in the wind and the scraping of cactuses with rakes. Take A Rest was mastered by Grammy nominated engineer Andrei Eremin (Chet Faker, WAFIA, Hiatus Kaiyote).

Tora have an extensive touring CV, with spots on the line up at The Great Escape (UK), Best Kept Secret (NL), and Germany’s premier festivals Fusion Festival, and Reeperbahn as well as over 70 other festivals and headline shows across Europe, the US, Mexico and Canada.

Tora continue to solidify their position as one of the most lauded live acts in the country and with their debut album on the horizon this is tour not to be missed.
