Following the release of 4-track EP WASH and visuals for new single ‘SLEEPWALKING’ (ft. Swim Mountain & Esther Joy), UK-based producer and composer TOURIST today shares the video for ‘HUSH’. Returning to Australia for a huge run of shows this festival season – FOMO Festival, Lost Paradise, Let Them Eat Cake and Origin NYE, as well as a support slot for Kaytranada in New Zealand, Tourist recently wrapped a string of US tour dates supporting Bonobo and Bob Moses.
Directed by Dillon Moore, the ‘HUSH’ video utilises the track audio, interjected with footage and sound taken from TOURIST playing piano at the houses of various LA musical friends, including Benny Blanco, Rostam from Vampire Weekend and RL Grime.

Of his WASH EP, TOURIST says “These tracks are my favourite music I’ve produced so far, TOURIST will always change with each release and I’ve loved pushing the sound into a new place. The EP features ‘SLEEPWALKING’ (ft. Swim Mountain & Esther Joy) and lead single ‘WE STAYED UP ALL NIGHT’ (ft. Ardyn) which has accumulated over 4 million streams and received reworks by producers Tom Demac and Matthew Dear.
With high-profile remixes for Chvrches, Haim, Christine and the Queens under his belt, the classically trained instrumentalist and producer released his self-titled debut EP (2012), TONIGHT EP (2013), and Patterns EP (2014) that saw features from vocalists including Lianne La Havas and Will Heard. Picking up a Grammy for his co-writer role on Sam Smith’s ‘STAY WITH ME’, TOURIST released debut album U last year to critical acclaim. With co-signs from the likes of Flume and Porter Robinson, the triple j feature album included BBC Radio 1 playlisted and Hype Machine #1 ‘Run’ alongside lead singles ‘TO HAVE YOU BACK’ and ‘TOO LATE’.
The new music follows the producer’s Laneway Festival appearance and sold-out Australian sideshows earlier this year. Known for his captivating sets and with numerous sold-out shows across the United States, Europe and Australia, TOURIST has become a live favourite. The producer has performed at festivals including Glastonbury, Pitch, Panorama, Bestival and Coachella, with 2017 marking his second appearance on the famed festival line-up.
