WINSTON SURFSHIRT
share new video for “BE ABOUT YOU”
announce signing with U.S. booking agent CAA
Continuing to make waves at home and abroad is local outfit Winston Surfshirt, who today shared their new video for debut single “Be About You”, as premiered via C-Heads.
The video brings their unique blend of hip hop, rap and blissful dream pop to life as the band hang out, cut shapes and introduce themselves as Winston Surfshirt, a band like none other.
Hailing from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, the six-piece was originally a solo project of singer/producer/rapper Winston Surfshirt, gradually evolving into a musical collective with members adopted from all across the country. Although the band has enjoyed a solid live following for years, “Be About You” is the groups first official release. Following premieres on triple j and Clash Magazine, the track has received full triple j and community radio rotation, support from Beats 1’s Zane Lowe, KCRW’s Jason Bentley and debuted at #1 on the Australian Spotify Viral Charts and #38 Global equivalent. It’s safe to say Winston Surfshirt have hit the ground running.
Alongside working with Sweat It Out, local legends Astral People and Niche Productions, the band announce their signing with U.S booking agent CAA’s Alex Becket (RUFUS, Roisin Murphy, Tom Misch) and Joe Hadley (NAO, GoldLink).
After recently wrapping their national tour support with RUFUS, Winston Surfshirt are set to play their sold out single launch at Sydney’s Newtown Social Club on March 25, exhausting all tickets in under two weeks, two months in advance – alongside Party In The Park and Big Pineapple Festival. Be sure to check out their new video and Be About Winston Surfshirt.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
