DAFFODILS
Daffodils remind me of every band I was into at high school. If you’re a sucker for tight punchy indie pop rock songs & a touch of melancholy, definitely check this group out.
Hot Picks – A Leo Underwater / Boys
.
WAX MUSTANG
A fellow GARBAGE RECORDS artist and one of my closest friends, Wax Mustang is a culmination of so many different things, I wouldn’t even call him a rapper. He leaves you wondering “how did he even think of that?”
Hot Picks – BONES / All the tracks he hasn’t released
.
SANDBOARDS (EDEN BURNS)
If you’re down for a boogie – House music is something I’ve only scratched the surface of as a listener, but there’s no denying that Eden is a melodic wizard, and an inspiring product of Dunedin and laptop production.
Hot Picks – Visa / Stretch
.
TOM VERBERNE
A pop melody maestro, and fellow do it yourself artist. I love Toms approach to making music, and I’m excited for more music to be dropped!
Hot Picks – Hit Me Back / Didn’t Have You

COOP
My favourite New Zealand artist. Huge inspiration, very talented person. First time I heard his music, I couldn’t get enough of it. Mellow with feelings.

Unveils new single
‘PSYCHO’
New Zealand-based indie-rock artist Jack Berry (real name Damin McCabe) has just unveiled his infectious new single ‘Psycho’ – produced and mixed by Djeisan Suskov (LEISURE).
‘Psycho’ is an indie-pop paragon. As an unwavering beat unfolds against a funk-laden bass line, reverb-soaked guitars playfully navigate around the arrangement; providing the perfect bedding for Jack’s dreamy vocals to hover above effortlessly.
Jack talks about the creative process behind ‘Psycho’: “Djeisan Suskov handled the whole thing. It’s the first time I’ve had somebody else doing production/mixing/mastering, as I usually try and do that all by myself. I intend to keep on doing that – this was just a unique opportunity to do something with somebody I admire!”
To coincide with the release, Jack just completed a run of East Coast shows supporting New Zealand’s BENEE and Australian juggernauts Lime Cordiale.
Despite the project only being in its infancy, Jack Berry has already sold out multiple headline shows and supported the likes of BENEE, LEISURE, Kllo and Set Mo in his native country of New Zealand. He’s also performed at Rhythm and Vines, NESTFEST and House of Vans.
Born and bred in Dunedin, New Zealand, McCabe spends his time outside of the Jack Berry project bouncing between his studio space, friends’ bedrooms and everywhere in between to write songs and produce for others. He also puts together pop-up thrift stores and shows as part of his DIY record label GARBAGE Records; founded and run by the artist himself.
In the coming weeks Jack Berry will reveal an accompanying music video for ‘Psycho’.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
