“A full-on, wall of pounding noise melds into a melodic breakdown heralded by the honey-flavored yet biting vocals of Alynnis Zizza, ‘ICU’ is 51st Avenue’s most personal song yet.” SCENESTR
“The end result is excellent. They have combined two seemingly disparate genres effortlessly. Fabulous musicianship is at the core of 51st Avenue.” THE AU REVIEW
“Sydney trio 51st Avenue embrace their pop influences on new single ‘Find Me’. The follow-up to July’s ‘Mind Your Own’ – described as “dramatic” and “hair raising” by Dave Ruby Howe – ‘Find Me’ is 51st Avenue’s attempt at penning the song of the summer.” MUSIC FEEDS
“‘Chapters’ continues to build on the foundations of songs like Find Me, Mind Your Own and Remnant, bolstering 51st Avenue’s creation of hard-hitting and exciting music that fuses electronic and pop music together with heavy rock influences.” HEAVY MAGAZINE
“a heart-wrenching exploration of addiction and the toll it takes on loved ones. Teaming up with Julian Latouche of Inertia, the quartet delivers a powerful, emotional track that showcases their ability to blend electronic pop and heavy rock into a hyper-modern sound that is all their own.” EAT THIS MUSIC
“With ‘Moments’, 51st Avenue not only deliver an electrifying new single, but also a glimpse into an exciting new chapter for the band.” BROKEN 8 RECORDS

Coming in hot with their third single for 2024, 51st Avenue continue down a heavier path with their pulsating new track ‘The Dark’.
As we saw on the bands previous single ‘Moments’; ‘The Dark’ is full to the brim with riffs, dynamic vocal passages and a brilliant use of atmosphere. With a future-forward approach sonically, the band blend elements of electronic music, pop-punk and metalcore with ease – weaving in and out of melodic, scene-setting verses and fully-fledged breakdowns effortlessly.
Thematically the track lives up to its title – describing a scenario where a path without adversity is hard to find.
“Guess who’s back? 51st emo’s back again! Sometimes the dark just calls – see what I did there? I think I felt a bit lyrically messy with this one, really in my head. We just get into situations where our backs are against the wall and there’s very little choice on our part but the choice made will still have a huge effect. Like you’re stuck in the middle and it’s too hard to make the right decision because that will still have collateral damage.
Essentially, all roads lead to ‘The Dark’. I wanted to show that one sided dialogue of justifying and pleading all in one. I think we’ve all been there and I think we forget that as much as people are out there judging those choices, there are those who’d understand if they knew what was up.” 51ST AVENUE
‘The Dark’ marks the second collaboration with the band’s new bassist, Anthony Carollo, and was recorded and mixed once again at Keywork Audio by Mark Williamson (A Swift Farewell, Alienist, Keepsake). While staying true to the classic 51st Avenue formula, the band have continued to evolve in both the songwriting and production process, elevating their sound to a new level on each release., “The last few songs we have pushed ourselves into a different direction. The song ‘The Dark’ revisits our usual 51st Avenue formula. Heavy riffs, electronic verses, driving drum beats and catchy melodies. While using the 51st Avenue formula we still incorporated new elements. This song like MOMENTS features a breakdown and is still slightly heavier than our other material.” 51ST AVENUE
The Sydney 4-piece have continued to make a name for themselves within the Australian music industry over the last few years; with opening spots for the likes of The Beautiful Monument, Eat Your Heart Out & Misery Loves Company; consistent radio support from triple J and triple J Unearthed; and and impressive 450k+ streams across their discography to date.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
