THE BLURST OF TIMES timetable released
Time to think about getting Blursty because The Blurst of Times has dropped the timetable for its biggest lineup yet.
Doors for all venues open at 3pm next Saturday April 29 with 31 bands set to tear up four stages across Fortitude Valley. Kicking things off at The Brightside Car Park stage at is none other than Ruby Fields. The definition of a legitimate buzz artist, Ruby has been taking to airwaves across the country with her new single ‘I Want’ which is sure to go down a treat.
Black Bear Lodge hosts some of the most treasured guests on the Blurst lineup including guitar gals Jack River and Alex Lahey. The Foundry is preparing for a rocking good time with Columbus, Good Boy and Royal Headache all in the house after dark. And The Brightside and The Brightside Car Park are a washing machine of Blurst’s most eclectic lineup yet. The likes of Evan Klar, I Know Leopard and Ngaiire will help punters dance themselves clean inside and Green Buzzard, The Creases & headliners Skegss will help them get down and dirty again outside at the Car Park stage.
All this action takes place with a salute to the best wine of them all at a ‘Summer of Rose’ wine bar. Plus, the king king of kings, Elvis himself will be getting down and Blursty. Brisvegas style shotgun weddings are on offer from5pm – 8pm for those who ‘can’t help falling in love’ with the idea of a dodgy wedding in The Brightside beer garden.
With 1am lock-out-laws a thing of the past, kick-ons are a plenty with late night runs announced for each location following the festival. The Foundry hosts Skegss for a DJ set, The Brightside sees an encore set from the city’s best Blink 182 12-piece covers band Bris 182 and Black Bear Lodge keeps it refined with DJs playing nothing but the hits, nothing but the hits, nothing but the mother flipping hits till late.
