HALSEY – “Now Or Never” (Single Review)

The Indie Pop music songstress Halsey is back again fierce then ever with a new release single titled Now Or Never, a track that is off her new upcoming album titled Hopeless Fountain Kingdom which is set to drop 2 June. Halsey’ upcoming album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom will be her third album release, As her first album EP was Room 93 she then released the album Badlands, going from strength to strength every single, album and music video that she releases. With Halsey she always manages to throw in an element of surprise, you never really know what to expect from her as an artist and the single Now Or Never is a perfect example of that.

From a personal point of view I have always loved Halsey as an artist purely because of how diverse she can be. You can guarantee every single that you listen to by her is completely left field from the last. When I found out about the release of Now Or Never I had a rough idea of what it might sound like, but after listening to Now Or Never those initial thoughts and expectations went right out the window. As Halsey managed to knock the socks off me once again with such a banger of a track.

Now Or Never is about a forbidden love story as two young lovers are unable to be together due to individual hardships and struggles they face within a dystopian society. This song tackles hard hitting issues and problems within the world at the moment. Initially listening to the song I thought it was an amazing track straight off the bat. As the song uses
layering of different angelic tones and overall a catchy song. Leaving the listeners bobbing and swaying away even when the track stopped playing. However after I listened to the track a few times I got a little curious and started to read up on the lyrics. Once I had done that I fell in love with the song so much more as it began to provoke my thoughts and emotions on a whole other level.
