“There’s good reason this tune was one of the most played on triple j this year, s’all I’m sayin’.” – Pedestrian TV

“Oozes both dance sensibility and an authentic rock aura, something that The Jungle Giants have always been renown for.” – Indie Shuffle

“Built around four-to-the-floor beats, bright guitars and some super-smooth hooks.” – Music Feeds

With just one date remaining on Australia’s favourite regional touring festival Groovin The Moo, Brisbane-based four-piece The Jungle Giants today announce their new single ‘On Your Way Down’ accompanied by the news that the indie outfit will release their highly anticipated third album Quiet Ferocity on July 7th. The follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2015 LP Speakerzoid, the album also features first single ‘Feel The Way I Do,’ which is currently sitting at over 1.5 million streams and has reached #14 most played track at triple j this year.

‘On Your Way Down’ showcases the band’s ability to combine simple arrangements with melodic intensity. “Not like a bashing your head way,” Sam says. “More like a rumbly building intensity. It makes you want to dance, but also clench your fists. When I wrote it I knew it was going on the record and everything else would have to make room for this song and nod towards it.”

Recorded at Empire Studios in Brisbane, the 10-track ‘Quiet Ferocity’ was a result of front man Sam Hales’ “5 days a week, 9-5” approach to the creation of album number three. The poster people for creative risks in the studio, as seen throughout the journey from their first EP to triple j feature albums Learn To Exist and follow-up Speakerzoid, the new album showcases a seamless creative pairing of songwriting and diverse production methods.

Racking up over 30 million Spotify streams, The Jungle Giants have played sold-out headline dates and appeared at all major Australian festivals. They have also played shows in LA, New York, Toronto, Austin, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta.

Their new album marks a key stylistic and musical evolution for the band, creating a genre-bending universe that’s entirely their own.
