Returning to our shores this July for an appearance at Splendour In The Grass and a series of headline dates, LA-based producer RL Grime returns with official single ‘Stay For It’ Ft. Miguel. Alongside the new track, RL Grime presents NOVA, which as he describes, “will define and encompass every part of the RL Grime project over the coming years.” Joined by the announcement of a North American tour – one of NOVA’s catalysts, the new music comes ahead of his biggest Australian & NZ tour to date. With Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion sold-out, RL Grime will hit Auckland, Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide, marking his first headline tour of the region since April 2015, giving Australian fans the first chance to hear the new material live.
Following instrumental ‘Reims’ released last month as a free download via Reddit’s r/Trap, ‘Stay For It’ showcases the producer’s new cinematic direction alongside Miguel’s ravishing vocals. In addition to the new single and North American tour announce, RL sent out a limited run of physical NOVA zines to die-hard fans across the globe last Tuesday. The zine features an intimate conversation with Miguel taken from their last studio session together, and further delves into the NOVA concept. It also includes a personal letter from RL to his fans and never-before-seen photos and artwork. The Zine is available for purchase now on his site.
With his groundbreaking debut album VOID, released in 2014 to rave reviews around the world, RL Grime has accumulated over 100 million plays on his tracks, with over 9 million alone on his 2014 massive What So Not collaboration ‘Tell Me.’ Celebrated as “an unparalleled force,” the producer’s live show has graced the biggest festival stages in the world, including Coachella – LA, Lollapalooza – Buenos Aires and STORM – Shanghai. At just 25 years old, RL Grime continues to conquer the electronic space with each release, a testament to his unique identity and sound.
