The wait is finally over! THE KILLERS twelfth highly anticipated new studio album titled WONDERFUL WONDERFUL has finally arrived. After the long and anticipated wait THE KILLERS fans now have a red hot 10 track album to listen too. Going into listening to this album I had no set expectations or benchmark for what the album would bring but listening to the album WONDERFUL WONDERFUL all the way through track by track despite it being only a 10 track album my mind was initially blown as the usual sound of THE KILLERS is stereotypically within the Indie Rock genre.
However this time around I feel like THE KILLERS have gone with more of an edgy, alternative and eclectic sound with similar likes to other Indie Rock bands like The Wombats, Mumford and Sons and Tame Impala. However with saying that with THE KILLERS taking this approach to the album WONDERFUL WONDERFUL their new revamped sound may not be a particular liking to many dedicated THE KILLERS fans. But none the less THE KILLERS, WONDERFUL WONDERFUL is a great one as they have executed this album extremely well as they have continued to produce countless tracks present on the album that genuinely feel good tracks and are bangers to dance too as some of the tracks within the album present a lot of 80’s vibes.

The second track off THE KILLERS new album WONDERFUL WONDERFUL titled THE MAN , as this particular song was the first track released off the album. However with the anticipation and hype built around the album I decided to wait until the full album was released. With my first listen to the song The Man the introduction was quite intense as it came in with full force with an 80’s feel attached to t heir new sound. The Man is a gentle reminder that the existence of the 80’d vibe is still alive and well as the instruments used like electric guitar, drums and bass guitar are highly prominent within the song which furthermore adds an 80’s twist on the track leaving me dancing in my seat bringing back the 80’s dance moves my mum taught me from Flashdance.

The seventh track off WONDERFUL WONDERFUL is titled Some Kind Of Love, this particular song has to be my favourite off the album as it is a slow pace track, its not quite a ballad but the song in general entices the listener. With the slow alternative yet eerie use of instruments being played, with the combination of low monotone vocals accompanied with a high pitched backing vocals by the fellow band members. Some Kind Of Love
kind of haunts you and stays with you after you have listened to it the first time as it puts you into a trance allows you to sway back and forth it’s a soothing yet calming aesthetic. Reminding the listener about the element of chaos and the calm, meaning that life still goes on the world still continues to spin but this makes you kind of pause and take a step back and reassess what is going on and the situation that you may be in.

THE KILLERS new album WONDERFUL WONDERFUL is out now!
.
The tenth and final track on WONDERFUL WONDERFUL is titled, Have All The Songs Been Written .Have All The Songs Been Written has a slow enticing introduction with the gradual introduction of the electric guitar. The track is a slow but steady pace song but whilst listening to it you already know mid song the guitar is going to peak. As the track progresses the anticipation continues to build, but with building this anticipation just like a bass drop in an EDM track however the build up that was anticipated was never actually reached as what I anticipated never really happened. However the high light of Have All The Songs Been Written would be the use of the electric guitar with the use of the guitars it creates a certain atmosphere and vibe as this songs puts the listener into a trance makes them calm and enticed. As the track encourages you to get your lighters out and sway whilst the song plays. However when this song is played at their upcoming live tour it will be mesmerising to see in real life. Being able to feel the hard hitting sound of the guitar right in the middle of your chest.
