“[Sentimental Trick is about] the intricacies of navigating the line between friendship and romance, and the ecstasy and heartbreak that inevitably comes with it.”
– Future Jr.

Future Jr.’s first single “Suburbia Blue” released in September garnered global support after receiving high appraisal from NME, Neon Gold, and The Line of Best Fit. The tracks film clip scored a premiere by Australia’s indie blog Pilerats and was added into Spotify New Music Friday in Germany, Turkey and Switzerland. Apple Music AU & UK featured it in their Best Of New Week, A-List New Artists + more.
Influenced by the likes of Toro y Moi, Lorde and Day Wave, Future Jr. began his alchemy in the depths of his parents house, with guitar in hand crouched over the glow of his synth collection. Now, armed with a disarming lyricism and a love for immersive musical textures, he introduces to the world “Sentimental Trick”.

“New track ‘Sentimental Trick’ is a bleached out slice of electronic pop, warmed by tropical winds yet with a bittersweet pop heart. Beautifully balanced, that soft-hewn vocal delivery sits right at the centre”
– CLASH
“Ok so everytime I listen to this I fall a little bit further for it. The tone is note perfect and it just gently pushes towards the warmest corners of your ears.”
– triple j Unearthed, Dave Ruby Howe
