LISTEN TO “CRYSTALLINE” HERE
“We’re constantly changing and it’s completely okay to be waking up one day and being completely lost thinking ‘what the fuck am I doing?’ For me, this is really about not knowing where we’re going but if we hold those close to us, and maintain the things we love we’ll be happy. ” – Jake Stiles
Created by the pair in its entirety, the track surrounds the idea of not living vicariously, saying how you feel and questioning what really matters. “Crystalline” is a thought of vivid dreams and predictions of early memories and those yet to come in life.
The brightly visual offers stunning aerial shots of endless sand dunes before sending the viewer on trippy adventures that align delightfully with the spacey single. – The Music
Born out of Southern Sydney, Stiles and Morales met after unsuccessfully sneaking into a music festival at a young age. Sharing a common love for music, the boys experimented with different instruments and sounds until finding what would be known as Blondebears.
With the release of their debut single “Dissolve” earlier this year and “Sedative” not long after, Blondebears reached the Top 10 on Spotify’s Viral Charts, becoming the face of Spotify’s cover in June. The outfit also graced the screens of MTV and ABC’s RAGE, the illustrious Rolling Stone and earnt the title of triple j’s unearthed Spotlight Artist.
The group have become a mainstay on the Sydney live circuit, performing at various indie club night parties, including the recent Rare Finds night at OAF Gallery, in conjunction with OXFAM Australia, with all proceeds going to the charity.
Blondebears have also recently been selected to perform at 2017’s EMCPlay on Thursday, November 30th at The Lansdowne Hotel, Chippendale.
“Part stark confessional, part bizarre but loving testimony, wonderfully complex” – Rolling Stone
“I’m listening to this and I can’t stop nodding. People think I’m just saying yes to everything and it’s a real problem”. – Dave Ruby Howe
“They kinda remind me of the classic Aussie experimental electronic acts like Seekae and PVT, and I am super ready to welcome them into my life. And I think you will be too” – Pilerats
