“Hazy, grungy echo-laden melodic girl-driven shoegaze with a punkrock edge that keeps the treble set properly is the order of the day and Julia Why? have nailed the brief.” – LouderSoft (USA)
“What it comes down to is infectious and fantastic songs. They’re short knockouts that scrape away bullshit, and replace it with the kind of delirious, fuzzy pop that put Karen O and Sleater-Kinney on the map. …” – Ryan Saar, FBi Radio/Soundly Sounds
“JuliaWhy? is the axe slinging femme fatale that we were all in dire need of.” – 2SER radio (Sydney, Australia)

.
JuliaWhy? will bring their sweet n’ sour 90s/60s scuz to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Byron.
The femme-driven indie three-piece are on the road for the second time in three months, fresh from releasing ‘Candy’ in late 2017 – the first single off their anticipated new album.
This east coast tour includes appearances at Psych Fest in Sydney and Melbourne alongside Moaning Lisa, Lazertits, Davey Lane and New Candy’s (Italy). Followed by a Sunday show at The Old Bar with Cool Sounds and Girlatones, before they head up north to play The Bearded Lady with Brisbane legend Matt Kennedy from Kitchen’s Floor and Hound. Finally, JuliaWhy? play an International Women’s Day mini-festival in Byron Bay.
As the world crumbles around us, JuliaWhy? is determined to channel their political outrage & emotional energy into releasing a bunch of new tunes in 2018. Watch this space.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
