With the original track surpassing over 20 million streams, Petit Biscuit today unveils five new remixes of his hit ‘Problems’ featuring Lido. The Problems remix EP includes new versions of the track from Shallou, (whose re-work premiered last month) alongside Wingtip, Taska Black, heroless, Bohkeh.
Australian artist JEFFE, who burst onto the scene last year with her mesmerising single ‘WHOEVER YOU LOVE, i’m COOL’ also features on the remix EP. Performing at Groovin The Moo and Mountain Sounds, with support duties including LANKS, Alex The Astronaut, Stella Donnelly, GFlip and No Mono, watch her transform the single here.
Of the rework Petit says, “I fell in love with JEFFE’s version of Problems. She definitely adds an extra layer to the emotions that the lyrics brings to the original track. It’s interesting how my original funky track turns into a delicate fragile pop track.”
Petit Biscuit recently made his debut on the Coachella stage, playing to a packed Sahara tent on both Sunday afternoons of the festival. The performances follow a whirlwind year for the 18-year-old artist, his debut album Presence was the final triple j feature album for 2017 and was nominated for Best New Album at France’s Victoires de la Musique, the country’s highest musical honour. Watch Petit Biscuit play a very special version of Sunset Lover at the ceremony here.
Recorded over the course of the past year, Petit Biscuit—a.k.a. Mehdi Benjelloun—wrote, produced and mixed Presence completely independently, finding time between high school exams and sold out tours across North America, Europe and beyond.
Following Coachella, Petit Biscuit will perform at Sasquatch and Lollapaloozaas well as select headline North American dates. In addition, he will play his first-ever shows in Asia this summer, with stops confirmed in Malaysia, Indonesia and Japan.
