After electrifying the crowds at SXSW in Austin last year, the US industry was quick to pounce on this Australian five-piece Sydney talent.
‘Move’ is the first track off lifted from their heavily anticipated debut album, currently slated for an October release.
To make sure that their Australian fans do not miss out on the release of “Move”, the band are coming back from the US for 6 shows in May/June.

Castlecomer…. Tell us a bit about your name. Castlecomer is also a town in Ireland, do you guys have any relation to it?
We are all cousins and brothers and our heritage goes back to that town in Ireland. Every day we get a message from someone who lives there and is like “top o the mornin …..etc etc…..great name!” Its very encouraging.
.
Speaking of places away from home, you guys recently played SunFest in Florida, what was that experience like?
We met Grouplove and drank with Rae Sremmurd‘s entourage – that was wild. The Florida crowd are loose, so we had a great time playing!
.
What’s it like playing to crowds overseas compared to at home? Do you notice much of a difference in the vibe when you play live in different places?
We like every crowd we play to, wherever it is – we could be playing to an Amazonian Tribe and if theyre giving us energy, we’re giving it back!
.
You have a really rapidly growing group of fans, is there anyone you guys are fans of musically?
Of course – our musical idols range from Carole King to Kendrick and many in between. I mean even Abba wrote bangers mate, appreciate greatness.
.
Is there a band/artist out there that you’ve liked for a while, anyone you’d consider a guilty pleasure?
Yeah, effing Abba haha. Justin Bieber‘s album had huge tunes on it, but we don’t believe in guilty pleasures – we just have pleasures and we’ll tell anybody who wants to know!
.
Your East Coast tour starts in less than a week, what are you looking forward to about it?
Being back on home soil. We’ve been the away team for about 6 months now in the US so it’ll be nice to know where we’re going again for a bit. Meat pies and Melbourne coffee will do us just fiiiine for a little while.
.
If you could pick absolutely anyone to bring on tour with you, who would you pick?
We’d chuck the PM in the van because surely he’s getting free stuff everywhere he goes. If he’s busy we’ll take Dave Grohl – he seems like a grouse dude and id happily let him sing a couple of the shows.
.
Are there any venues or locations you aspire to play in the future? Any major goals or milestones?
Yes. In our hometown, like every other artist, whether they say it or not, we would love to play The Enmore then the Hordern then the SFS and then Stadium Australia. And if all that fails, we’d be happy having sold out Leichhardt Oval.
.
“All Of The Noise” has done incredibly well, not only here in Australia but it’s received a lot of attention in the U.S., did you ever think you’d receive this much attention for it?
No. It’s a great surprise. The US has really accepted us and we’re stoked to be able to play our tunes for fans at home and abroad. Bring on Europe next!
.
What was it like working with Adrian Breakspear? How’d he impact the shape of your sound?
AB is a very smart (and kind) person. He knows how to get the best from the artist and can pull any sound from anywhere with all but a “mate can you make the drums sound like they’re inside a blender, on a mountain in the Icelandic winter please?” – and he does it. That’s talent.
