Los Angeles production duo DJDS is back to share their new album Big Wave More Fire, out now via Loma Vista / Caroline Australia. The album showcases a diverse collection of features from artists like Khalid, The-Dream, Vic Mensa, Charlie Wilson, Amber Mark, Empress Of, Vory, Kacy Hill and more. Big Wave More Fire includes last summer’s previously-released singles “Trees On Fire” and “Why Don’t You Come On”, as well as the recently-released “No Pain”.
“Why Don’t You Come On” received unanimous worldwide support, peaking at #2 on the US Spotify Viral Charts, #5 globally and #7 in Australia – all within the first week of release. The track is currently sitting on 22 million combined streams (with over 2 million coming from Australia) and received nods from Zane Lowe, Triple J, Noisey, Pitchfork and LNWY.
DJDS (formally known as DJ Dodger Stadium) have a long-standing history of being fully-formed creatives; marrying music, visual art and fashion both in their own careers and through their label Body High. This process has led to collaborations with Kanye West and Khalid in addition to pioneers like Charlie Wilson, Cali Thornhill Dewitt, The-Dream and Opening Ceremony. While their comprehensive artistic vision has made them collaborators of some of the most celebrated contemporary creatives, it wasn’t until they encamped with Kanye West to work on The Life Of Pablo that they gleaned the skills required to create a statement like “Trees On Fire” and “Why Don’t You Come On “.
To coincide with the album announcement, DJDS shares new tracks in “I Heard“, “Pick Me Up” (feat. Vic Mensa, Vory & Kelly Zutrau) and “Fallin” (feat. Kelly Zutrau & Marco McKinnis). “I Heard”, which finds the duo reuniting with The Dream and showcasing newcomer Vory, was featured as Zane Lowe’s World Record today on his Beats 1 Radio show. AMNPLIFY – MJ
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
