Perth Drum and Bass duo Flowidus today release their Arrival EP – cementing their position in the scene with festival-ready, hands in the air, euphoric drum and bass at its purest and its finest. Flowidus have also announced their exclusive signing to Elevate Records, a sister label to Shogun Records in the UK, founded by DnB don Friction.
Following in the steps of Perth drum and bass alumni like Shockone, the EP is a standout in the genre. Already banking a slew of lauded releases on some of Drum & Bass’ biggest and most influential labels – RAM Records and Program Records – it’s no wonder Flowidusare gaining a huge amount of attention in a relatively short period of time.
Arrival is a driving, layered composition of atmospheric sounds and chord progressions which show the young producers chops when it comes to world class electronic production. The first single released from the EP, ‘Don’t Walk Away’ featuring fellow Perth based artist EDDE, is a standout from the release, with sun-soaked vibes ready for festival season. Their stellar production is prominent on track ‘Your Way’, a club-ready banger with that infectious drum and bass drive. Additional cut ‘Old Heart’ shows off the versatility of the duo and ‘Contact’ enlists Manchester natives Virus Syndicate, giving the tune bark just as serious as its bite.

The Flowidus story started back in 2016 when the duo burst onto the international scene with their debut EP on Program Records, catching the attention of DnB overlord Andy C. ‘From The Storm’ exhibited their smooth production, variety, and evolving style. Since then the budding partnership has unleashed a batch of releases on labels such as RAM Records, Onelove, Liquicity & Good Karma Music and remixed the likes of Generik, DC Breaks, Elk Road and was included on Andy C’s RAM Records ‘Drum and Bass 2017’ compilation.
We can’t be sure someone isn’t putting something in the water in Perth, with Flowiduscontinuing the tradition of world-class drum and bass coming out of Australia. Keep an eye on the talented duo as they take on the world.
