Epitaph Records is thrilled to announce that Thrice has joined its roster. Formed in 1998, the Orange County-based four-piece is widely regarded as one of the most innovative rock bands of their generation.
“We grew up listening to and being inspired by Epitaph bands, and have always admired and respected the label’s independent spirit and ethics,” said the band in a statement. “To finally be a part of the family there is an absolute honor, and we couldn’t be more excited about our future with them.”
Thrice have unveiled a new track, The Grey, a deeply evocative track that’s equal parts intense guitar work, furious rhythms, and indelible melody.

In 2016, Thrice released To Be Everywhere Is to Be Nowhere (via Vagrant Records). Featuring frontman Dustin Kensrue, guitarist Teppei Teranishi, bassist Eddie Breckenridge, and drummer Riley Breckenridge, the band made their debut with the 2000 album Identity Crisis. With later releases including their 2003 breakout The Artist in the Ambulance and a duo of concept LPs (2007/8’s The Alchemy Index: Fire and Water and Earth and Air), Thrice took a several-year hiatus starting in 2012. Arriving in May 2016, To Be Everywhere Is to Be Nowhere proved to be Thrice’s most politically-minded yet vulnerable work to date.
Thrice has also announced a U.S headline tour later this year with The Bronx and label mates Teenage Wrist.
