Sydney sider ËMMË is building a discography that is becoming increasingly harder to ignore. In fact, if you don’t know his name you might have heard his music.
Maybe it was the festival-ready trap sounds of party-starter ‘Bad Mind’ which reached over 886,000 Spotifyplays, or it might have been the bewitching and feel-good tones of ‘Good Love’, a track which made its way into the top 15 of Australian radio’s recent most played tracks. On top of that it was also added to Spotify’s ‘Monster Dance Hits’ and ‘New Dance Beats’ playlists where it received over 350,000 Spotify plays. Some of the huge global names who have reached for ËMMË’s music include scene leaders like Herobust, DJ 4B, Laidback Luke, LUUDE, Jackal and Slander, and locally he has seen support from Peking Duk, The Ashton Shuffle boys through their Friday Night Shuffle show on Triple J, and KLP (through her ‘Dance Party’ show on Triple J).
It makes sense then that America’s Elysian Records, a label with over 50 million Soundcloud streams, has decided to sign another one of his productions: the vibe-filled ‘Pass Me By‘. It’s already been received with great success at recent festivals, and upon release it was immediately added onto Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday AU/NZ’, ‘Monster Dance Hits’ and ‘New Dance Beats’ playlists. It is safe to say that his singular take on future bass and trap has been hitting all the right frequencies – not just on a local scale but an international one too.
