Indie rock-folk powerhouse, Boy and Bear, will exclusively perform at the Handpicked Festival, enchanting crowds with their only show for 2018 as they prepare their upcoming album. Gifted with the rare ability to make massive arenas feel like the most intimate of venues, Boy and Bear, will captivate fans with songs off award winning albums, Moonfire, Harlequin Dream and Limits of Love.

“The boys know how to put on a magical live show, plus you can tell that the guys love what they do, making music… They fit our vibe perfectly of magic and music,” said Handpicked creator Kate Cooper.

Brisbane band, Ball Park Music, will bring a blend of indie rock and pop to the line up, with hits, Exactly How You Are and It’s Nice to Be Alive.’ The band will be fresh from appearing at its national tour, in a run of sold out shows at some of Australia’s biggest venues, alongside indie pop sensation, San Cisco.

“Ball Park Music absolutely know how to please a crowd… They are without a doubt one of Australia’s favourite indie bands, so to have them here just after their national tour is a highlight for us,” said Kate Cooper.

Joining the line up is punchy, deliciously dramatic, electro pop siblings, BROODS, who are embracing a sunny, new vibe with their third record, out in early 2019. After spending the past few years in LA, the Kiwi duo, comprised of Georgia and Caleb Nott, have burst back onto the global music scene, with the #1 most played Triple J song, Peach.

“I worked with my sister on Handpicked so to support anther brother/sister duo with such a huge music profile makes me beyond happy. Their new song Peach, is colourful and sunnier than pervious music… If colourful and sunny doesn’t sound like Handpicked what does?” said Kate.

“Vera Blue is a young, powerhouse with this raw, real sound. She’s also a country girl at heart, so I had to have her on my line up! Us country girls have to stick together” said Kate Cooper.
